Georgian Dendritic Agate and Garnet Mourning Ring of 18k Gold

A beautiful mourning ring from the Georgian era!

This special antique treasure commemorates the passing of Thomas Ogilvy in 1766. The face of the 18k gold ring features a dendritic agate encircled by flat cut garnets. The band has black enamel and reads: " Thos. Ogilvw Ob. 19 Nov. 1766 A: 28."

The ring is a size 8.75 and cannot be re-sized. It is in good condition for its age; however, one of the garnets is chipped and the black enamel shows heavy signs of wear.

Materials: 18k gold, enamel, garnet, black enamel, agate.
